About Me

About Me. profile-photo

Originally from London, I moved to Poole to start a family. My children are now grown up and a move to Bournemouth has ensued. Whilst I enjoy the buzz of city life, I love living by the sea which has a profound effect on my serenity.

I am passionate about reflexology and came across it back in 1994 when I was experiencing some stress-related symptoms and conditions. I loved it as a treatment and found it hugely beneficial and transformative. This eventually led me to switch from training in psychotherapy to reflexology!

Qualifications

I qualified in reflexology ITEC and anatomy and physiology ITEC in 1996. I trained with the North London School of Massage and Reflexology.

My work background is in office management, having worked for 12 years in the corporate world in London. After making a decision to live abroad for 3 years, working firstly in retail and then in property management and the food, leisure and entertainment industry, I returned to London with a strong desire to change my pace of life and direction. This lead me to complete 2 years of a 3 psychotherapy training and then on to studying reflexology. I absolutely love the physical hands-on approach to helping people hence the move away from psychotherapy to bodywork.

I have recently obtained my Level 3 Health and Safety Diploma for working as a holistic therapist.
ETF Level 2 (Emotional freedom technique is also known as “tapping”)
Matrix Reimprinting Level 2
I trained with EFT Master Karl Dawson at the EFT & Matrix Reimprinting Academy (EFTRA) in 2015.

I am particularly interested in the direct effect of thoughts on the body, the mind/body connection, the stress response and how to calm the mind and body to assist healing.

I also have an interest in mindfulness meditation, nutrition and women’s wellbeing.

I am extremely passionate about the management of fatigue-related conditions, including ME/CFS which I have personal experience of.
